S1 E8 | Great Performances | Season Finale

As actors, the Wise Guys read from work that addresses issues of life in The Third Act. Bob reads the role of the Dutch orchestra maestro Mengelburg from Danny Klein’s play, Mengelburg and Mahler; Sam performs a speech from I’m Not Rappaport, by Herb Gardner; and Matt reads a poem by Buff Whitman-Bradley called “Third Cousins,” that speaks about pestering thoughts of mortality.

Listen to a reading of Matts poem from ep. 8 here:

Meet the Five Wise Guys and hear what they’ve got on their minds — actors, writers, storytellers all — as they kibbitz about life in The Third Act. Five Wise Guys is the Project’s first TV show and features writer and TAP co-founder Sam Bittman; actor Jeff Kent; bookman and storyteller Matthew Tannenbaum; author and playwright Daniel Klein; and actor Bob Lohbauer as they ruminate on the realities of later life.
